Our Story

Fieldwork Company was started in 2014 by Isaac Haines and his wife, Kristen. Isaac was frustrated by how hard it was to find high-quality products that were handmade in Canada using traditional techniques and materials.

After practicing the craft for two years and selling products to friends and family, he registered the trade name “Fieldwork Company” in 2016. He and his wife have been creating handmade goods out of their home studio ever since.

In late 2025, Fieldwork Co. became a partnered venture with two close friends, Dean and Kara. Now, as a team, we are all working together to grow the business.
